The first project!

This is prompted partly by the fic / pic challenge lj communities I've encountered, and the fact that my Japanese is nowhere near as good as I want it to be. The idea is that like the challenge communities, we have a project set on a daily/weekly basis, only rather than a fic etc., we have to translate something. Sound interesting? I hope so. Leave a comment if you're interested or have a suggestion or so forth.

I thought it would be a good idea to start with something short, cute and amusing ... and by that I of course mean Ed.

Series: Full Metal Alchemist.
Medium: Doujinshi.

Doujinshi title: Empty Rave.
Circle name: kgm.
website: http://kgm.main.jp

suggested layout for translations:

Comment 2 (pointing to Edward's leg):
Comment 3 (pointing to the bath tub):

Any questions?

I don't think I know nearly enough Japanese for this. o_o I guess I can say what I do know.

Umm... okay.
Roy: Watashi wa itsudemo kirei na kareda de matteru yo, Hagane no.
I can recognized all the words here, but I don't think I'm getting the meaning. He seems to be saying "I'm always willing to wait for a clean body, Fullmetal."

Ed: Ore no kareda wa... Lost on the rest of it.

Comment 1: Is that good?

Can't read the comment by Ed's leg at all -- the kanji are a little bit messy, but I can't recognize them.

Comment 3: Machiuke -- Waiting expectantly for something, I think, though the word makes me snicker enough that I wonder if there's a pun involved.

On Roy's first comment, kirei na karada de etc., the 'de' suggests to me that he's waiting with a clean body. That would also explain why he's in the bath. Seem plausible?

Roy's comment is the only thing I can read without my kanji dictionary. Will be looking up the rest of it later.

Oh, so *that's* what the 'de' was doing there. I couldn't make it out at all.
