girl_starfish: [dj scan] squeaky clean

The first project!

This is prompted partly by the fic / pic challenge lj communities I've encountered, and the fact that my Japanese is nowhere near as good as I want it to be. The idea is that like the challenge communities, we have a project set on a daily/weekly basis, only rather than a fic etc., we have to translate something. Sound interesting? I hope so. Leave a comment if you're interested or have a suggestion or so forth.

I thought it would be a good idea to start with something short, cute and amusing ... and by that I of course mean Ed.

Series: Full Metal Alchemist.
Medium: Doujinshi.

Doujinshi title: Empty Rave.
Circle name: kgm.
website: http://kgm.main.jp

Any questions?

Edward:

'汚' is probably kega-reru, 'become dirty / corrupted,' or yogo-reru, 'dirty, soil, stain (and interestingly, according to my dictionary anyway, 'smut')'.

Unfortunately I don't have a clue about the verb form.

Unless 'yogore' is 'dirt' and the verb is makutteruze -- 'ruze' is the casual suggestive ending right?

My guess is that Ed is suggesting that they get his body clean / dirty.

makuru
(suf,v5r) (1) to turn up; to roll up (e.g. sleeves); (2) verb suffix to indicate reckless abandon to the activity

I think he's definitely saying "Let's get down and dirty."

I'm sure that phrase will come in useful.
