girl_starfish: [dj scans] Dream

I chose this one because again, its very short--only the two pages, and the first page is pretty self explanatory. Also, Private Label does good stuff. ^_^

Series: Full Metal Alchemist.
Medium: Doujinshi.

Doujinshi title: ロケット ダイヴ.
Circle name: Private Label / Fuji Shinichi.
website: http://www.50mb.com/fuji/

And a close up on the kanji in the last panel:

Okay, hmm.

Title: Rocket Dive (darou.)
First sound effect: Ed is snoring.
Ed: Al...
Ed: Al... dai...
Al: . o O(Al daisuki?) "Al, I love you?" Aww, brother! <3

and omg Ed is so cute and young-looking. *raburabu*

Al: Hey, brother...
Al: Yesterday, what (can't read the kanji) did you see?

...blah, my command fails me. I so suck at recognizing kanji!

That would be my fault, I think. I set the scan at 75% instead of 100% (the closeup of the kanji is at 100%). However, that particular kanji is 'yume' so I'm fairly certain that sensetence is 'Yesterday, what dream did you see?'

Ed: Yume?/ Dream?
Al: Aa./ Yeah.

And thats as far as I can go without pulling out my kanji dictionary so I'll have to pause there.

"yume wo miru" means "to dream", so it's probably just "What did you dream last night?"
The rest of this is difficult. (o_o;) Ed's stuff is clear, but Al's is giving me trouble...

Possible translation --> (mark to read)
Ed: This week's theme was Human Transmutation...
Ed: Kikuma Ana and Macha Aki drew an array and made a Homunculus... impossible! (or something like that, anyone got ideas how to translate "Arienee"?)

And now, Al says "Aru aru Daijiten ka yo!!!" (Daijiken? I'm lost. "Great encyclopaedia"?)

Anyway, the joke seems to lie with the "Aru aru, dai..." (Al, Al, dai...). "'There's this great encyclopaedia...' What the heck?"

Poor Al. (^^;)

Are the two names characters from the series? If not, I think they're TV personalities from a show called "Aru Aru Daijiten", which explains the written comment: "There is TV in this world!"

I am awed and amazed, Jen.

And comments like yours make communities like this so much fun. *laughs* I would NEVER have figured that out on my own.
And no, the characters aren't from the series.
